I spend a week in the Netherlands with my family, and I come back to all the news!
Apparently, my man at Event Entry tells me that I have only three team places remaining for the Maravan Relay on Saturday 17th November.
If you haven’t entered yet, then you might need to get a move on. I might be able to free up a few more medals, but that depends if other events don’t fill up. There are already 33 entries in the Marathon on Saturday
https://www.evententry.co.uk/saturday-maravan-2018, and 21 on the Sunday https://www.evententry.co.uk/sunday-maravan-2018, so I’m not planning on having spaces in those come November.
Don’t forget there’s a half on as well on the Sunday
https://www.evententry.co.uk/maravan-half-2018, that’ll start filling soon, as well…
Don’t delay too long…
It’s payday this weekend, and some of you are still inspired from this spring’s marathons.
If you want some great fun marathon action, fancy a half in less toasty weather than last weekend, or just a fun social day out in a group of four friends, then there’s an event for you in November:
The deign for the marathon medal is now confirmed.
Permit number 18/264
This means that the marathon events on Saturday and Sunday meet the criteria laid down by the UK 100 Marathon Club to count towards a member’s totals.
Several runners have now used Maravan events towards their 100 club membership, including Rebecca Parry, who last year became the first athlete to celebrate her 100th at the Maravan.
Will anyone be joining her this year?
Please bear with us while developing the new website. Links to enter the event are above, and we’ll add content from the old site as we get time.
Vigilantes Running was born out of a desire to see fun, accessible, and not-at-all to be taken-too-seriously marathons in a quiet corner of England, where until now, such races just didn’t exist. There’s a great community of long-distance runners “over here”, but no events for us to enjoy. Of course, we welcome runners from everywhere to come and join us in our little corner of England, to enjoy our coast and to sample our hospitality.
