Toilet talk

The good, the bad and the ugly, although maybe not in that order

Different events bring to mind different luxury levels of toilets.

The picture on the right is what we are able to offer the 300 people who run Cleethorpes parkrun every Saturday.

We had the wonderful Tardis devices on the left for a decade at Maravan, until last year when we were able to have the proper toilets open on the park in exchange for a whip-round for Cancer research.

We’re having that again this year, assuming they give me the codes on time.

The one in the middle is my favourite ever view from a toilet, the Sky Bar at the Radisson Latvija in Riga. Admittedly, that wasn’t during an event, but it was while celebrating afterwards…

I can’t offer the quality of the middle facility, but driers, porcelain and hot running water is certainly better than the other two.

November Medal

I quite like this year’s medal. Combined both the previous years. Clever.

There are still entries, I know I’ve been quiet, but that’s because I’ve recently got a new day-job. I’ve taken the necessary time off to set up Maravan in November, though, so we’re definitely good to go.

Still keen to have a couple more entrants for the full marathon on Sunday, I’ve forgotten to take the half price sale off…
